Looking to get one last run in before we say goodbye to 2024?  Want to be able to say you did the Valley's first 5K of 2025?

StartLine Racing is honored to continue a true New Year's tradition by hosting the 35th Annual Midnight Madness run as we celebrate the end of 2024 and the start of a new race year!

Join us as we say goodbye to Father Time and welcome Baby New Year!

This year's event will feature the final race of 2024 on December 31st at 10:30pm

and the first race of 2025 with a run on January 1st at 12:10am with a

New Year's Celebration and Sparkling Cider toast in between.

What You Get

  • Custom Event Medal for ALL finishers.  Running both races?  Get a unique finisher's medal at the end of both!!
  • Custom Event Dri-Fit Long Sleeve Hooded Shirt
  • Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups (excluding Virtual Runners) for the following:

    • 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over

  • Pre- & Post-Race "Athlete's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, etc)
  • Hot Chocolate & Cookies to Celebrate the New Year
  • Chip Timed with Real Time Results and Photos provided by StartLine Racing on their Website

Race Day Information

  • Race Day Check In and Registration will be available beginning at 9:15pm at Kiwanis Park (south soccer field).

    • We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day.  Race day prices are $60 for both races (the Double Down!!) and $50 for either the Final Race of the 2024 or First Race of 2025

    • All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

  • Wheelchair, leashed pets, and stroller friendly event.

  • The course will take you along the running/biking paths at Kiwanis Park (mix of concrete and asphalt trails).  Please note - some of the areas of the course will be open to public running/walking so please be good neighbors of the trail.

  • December 30th  3:00PM - Packet Pick-Up at Road Runner Sports - Tempe from 3:00 - 6:00pm

  • December 31st  9:15PM - Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration Begins at Kiwanis Park

  • December 31st 10:30PM - Final 5K of 2024 Begins

  • December 31st 11:30PM - Awards Ceremony for Final 5K of 2024 Begins (approx)

  • January 1st at Midnight  -  Sparkling Cider Toast to Ring in the New Year

  • January 1st  12:10AM    -  First 5K of 2025 Begins

  • January 1st  1:00AM       - Award Ceremony for First 5K of 2025 Begins (approx)
